Three siblings in East Delhi uncover a horrifying family secret hidden for decades, as their late father’s will leads them into a nightmarish legacy.
The Sharma siblings—Arjun, Maya, and Kabir—gathered in their late father’s Delhi home, a crumbling mansion tucked away in an overgrown lane in Mayur Vihar. The will reading was meant to be routine, but the family lawyer, an anxious man who glanced nervously at the shadows, handed them a sealed envelope labelled “To my children.”
Inside was a key and a note: “Unlock the basement. Everything will make sense.”
Curiosity quickly turned into dread as they descended the dusty staircase to the basement, a space none of them had ever been allowed to enter as children. The air was thick with mildew, the walls scrawled with strange, almost ancient-looking symbols. At the center of the room was a heavy metal door. The key turned easily, and the siblings stepped into a hidden chamber.
The sight froze them: a frail man, chained to the wall, his eyes glinting with madness and malice. He rasped, “I’ve been waiting.”

The man, who called himself Devraj, claimed he had been held captive for over two decades by their father. Arjun, the eldest, demanded answers, but Devraj only smiled, revealing rotting teeth. “You’ll find out soon enough,” he said cryptically.
Despite Maya’s protests, Kabir insisted on releasing Devraj, believing their father to be a villain. The moment the chains fell, the room grew colder, and the house itself seemed to creak with life. Devraj whispered, “You shouldn’t have done that,” before vanishing into the shadows.
The days that followed were filled with terror. Kabir began seeing visions of his father, begging him to undo the mistake. Maya found herself plagued by nightmares of being hunted by shadowy figures. Arjun discovered their father’s journals, which revealed that Devraj wasn’t just a man—he was something much darker. Bound by ancient rituals, Devraj had been imprisoned to protect the family from his insatiable hunger for destruction.
As the siblings pieced together the truth, Devraj returned, stronger and angrier. He whispered their fears back to them, turning their trust into paranoia. One by one, the siblings began disappearing, leaving Maya alone to face the entity.
She confronted Devraj in the basement, armed only with her father’s journal and an unshakable determination to end the cycle. But as the door slammed shut behind her, her screams echoed into silence.
The mansion, now abandoned, still holds whispers of its tragic legacy. Locals warn never to enter, for Devraj is still waiting, his hunger unsatisfied.
